The Blue Moo’d Lounge: Blues & Jazz Hot Spot

Littleton, Colorado isn’t known for its live music scene.  But that was before siblings Terrie and Tim Bentley opened the Blue Moo’d Lounge this past summer.  Along with House Manager Robin Crawford, this brother and sister team has created a stunning blues and jazz venue for musicians and patrons alike.  “Our folks had a bar and we grew up listening to all kinds of music,” says Time (also a guitar player and Eric Johnson fanatic).  Terrie says “there wasn’t anything like this in the neighborhood.  Our goal is to have good live music five nights a week, right here in Littleton.”  Musicians who have played here always comment about the great house sound system and soundman provided by the club.  In addition to the beautiful interior, The Blue Moo’d features an outdoor fire pit and one of the largest stages in the area, big enough to accommodate a 15-piece jazz band.

Terrie and Tim both explained the origin of the Blue Moo’d logo: a cow playing a saxophone.  It’s a tribute to their parents.  The blue represents their dad, a policeman, and the cow is for their mom.  They would be proud of this club.  The Blue Moo’d Lounge is a destination venue for anyone who wants to hear great blues and jazz.  And don’t forget the outstanding menu.  My suggestion: the Tortilla Soup.
